October 17th Program – Empowering Afghan girls through education

Guest Speaker: Razia Jan – “Empowering Afghan girls through education” 

Razia is a globally recognized speaker, honored for her activism and humanitarian work in Afghanistan. Razia will share about her efforts of organizing a girls’ school in Afghanistan. Her humanitarian work is honored in First Lady Laura Bush’s book “We are Afghan Women”. Razia has spoken on women and children’s issues at venues across the United States as well as in Europe and Afghanistan and received many international awards. Razia has heard about our International Women Group in Bartlesville and wanted to visit with us, but unfortunately, she couldn’t make it in person this time. Therefore, Razia will be speaking remotely via Zoom; she will provide time for questions from our group and discussion.
